Assessments for Children

Assessments are the first step to helping dyslexic students reach their potential.

We are passionate about helping to unlock the key to a child’s learning and it often comes as a huge relief to parents and children to understand that they are dyslexic. We, like you, are committed to helping make a difference to the life chances of individuals with dyslexia and this journey begins with the step of having an assessment.

Assessments for Adults and Higher Education Students

Sometimes dyslexia is detected in childhood but in many instances people do not realise they may be dyslexic until they have left school.  Having used strategies to cope with any difficulties experienced throughout their school life, an individual may find that new issues arise when he or she starts higher education or begins a new career.

A diagnosis of dyslexia can be used when applying for Disabled Student's Allowance (DSA) to secure support at university.

It can also inform employers of reasonable adjustments needed in the workplace.

Disabled Student's Allowance (DSA) is a government grant available to students in higher education living in the U.K.  A full diagnostic assessment report will be needed to accompany a DSA application form.  DSA is not means tested, it depends on an individual's needs.  Our reports are written in accordance with the DFE guidelines by specialist assessors who hold practising certificates.
